Simon has been playing and teaching for a living for 17 years. He has gigged across the UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand with various bands, and has recorded at (amongst others) BBC's Maida Vale Studios in London and Ardent Studios in Memphis. He was named as Drummer of The Year at the British Blues Awards in 2010 for his work touring with guitarist Oli Brown.

Topics covered include technique, rudiments, coordination, music reading, improvisation, groove, timekeeping and kit maintenance/set-up. Styles taught include rock, pop, blues, funk, jazz, motown, world, hip-hop, R&B, show and many others. Many of his past and present pupils have taken graded drum-kit exams from LCM and Rockschool syllabuses, and a lot of them play in gigging bands in Norfolk and further afield. Simon teaches instore at Anglia Drum Centre, Norwich.
