I started playing the drums at the age of 12 and since then have played and recorded with a very wide spectrum of musicians, covering everything from punk, through prog-rock and metal to drum 'n' bass and jazz. Before I took lessons I felt that I had "hit a brick wall" with my playing - I couldn't work out how to play what I wanted. I studied under Paul Cleaver for a number of years and through lots of study and practice of the rudiments and techniques and mentoring from Paul, I was able to understand how to play what I was hearing in my "mind's ear". Consequently I became a much more expressive, versatile and therefore sought-after drummer. I firmly believe that taking lessons from a good tutor is vital in becoming the musician you want to be and more! 

I teach at my home studio just outside of North Petherton (just off M5 Junction 24, between Bridgwater and Taunton), in several schools throughout Somerset and if you have your own kit I can travel to you.

My teaching rates are extremely competitive and, as an introductory offer to new students I currently offer a no-obligation evaluation session for a reduced rate.
