DRUMMING INTUITION

Is a drum school, practice booth and recording studio for hire. 

This is a soundproofed studio with I have built over the last 9 years. 

You'll have an acoustic drum kit and a practice pad for every lesson as well as a dedicated music system to listen to and play along to songs safely. This includes hearing protection headphones. 

LESSON TYPE / AGE

One-to-one in person and online starting at 8 years old +.

Small group classes coming soon.

UNDERAGE STUDENTS

Please bear in mind a parent or guardian is must be present inside lesson room in order for the lesson to go ahead as I cannot offer parents or child minders a windowed sitting area outside the lesson room due to soundproofing.

TEACHING DAYS / TIMES

Monday to Thursday, 10:00 till 20:30

Every other Saturday 10:00 till 14:00

FREQUENCY

Regular slot every week / every two weeks.

Irregular / one-off courses - pending on request and availability at the time. 

LESSON DURATION & PRICING

1 hour - £45 trial, £50 standard

45 min - £30 trial, £38 standard

30 min - £20 trial, £25 standard 

PAYING FOR LESSONS

If you wish to sign up for lessons after your trial, you can either pay-per-lesson or buy a pack of lessons. Here is a breakdown of what each option includes.

1. PAY-PER-LESSON

£50 guarantee deposit *

£50 single lesson fee 

* The guaranty deposit is held against any unpaid bookings, no-shows and late cancellation notices for the entire course of your learning period. It can also be agreed as payment for your final lesson or refunded to you in full after all bookings have been settled and due notice has been received (please see cancellation notice period and fees).

2. LESSON PACKS / DEALS

If it suits your budgeting you can purchase lessons in bulk. I won't charge the upfront deposit and you can also get a discounted rate per lesson. These are the conditions:

- Pack renewal payments are due between the penultimate and last lesson of each pack. 

- Notice to quit must follow cancellation policy

Four hours (minus £50 deposit), £200

Eight hours, £400 £380 = £20 off / £47.50 per lesson 

Twelve hours, £600 £540 = £60 off, £45 per lesson

PRACTICE DEAL * STUDENTS ONLY

There is no other way to get good at the drums than to sit at it and play through each beat over time and time again until it clicks and you can play the song or the excerpt of your choice.

We are proud to offer our drum students without their own instrument a high class practice room they can hire at a discounted rate and access a full drum-kit, including cymbals, for £10/hour instead of £15/hour for non-students.

A good way to plan your drumming progress is to take 1 hour lesson one week and 1 hour practice here at the studio before next lesson in addition to any other practice at home on the pad. If you are very serious about getting further quicker, you should always invest more on practice time and yes you can hire the practice room for longer if you wish too as long as it is available.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

All lessons and practice bookings must be paid in advance either via bank transfer or cash for me to be able to confirm them. In the event you are paying-per-lesson in cash I will request the payment at the start of each lesson.

PRICE INCREASES

Prices have to be updated from time to time to keep up with standard values for which the tutor will provide one month advance notice in writing.

CANCELLATION PERIOD, FEES AND REFUNDS

Three week notice to cancel with a seven day grace period to reschedule at a short notice - pending on availability - or the full lesson fee will be charged.

Deposit refunds will be made within one to two weeks from the day a final balance has been presented and agreed with the student.

Drum sticks NOVA 5A wood tip (not necessary for your trial lesson)

Practice pad - RealFeel 12" or similar. 

GOING FORWARD

Please let me know your preferred days, times and frequency as well as what payment option works best for you.

Once we have established a suitable time slot for your trial lesson and you are happy to proceed, I will email you my bacs details so we can settle payment.

When received, I will be able reply with booking confirmation. I will include the arrival instructions and look forward to seeing you in your trial.
