Stuart is an experienced musician and drum practitioner with 10 years playing experience. He has enjoyed close to 3 years of teaching students from all ages and abilities.
Stuart has had a long playing history as a local session musician playing in many styles such as rock, jazz, funk, folk, down-tempo and progressive rock with an excellent understanding of what forms different styles and the techniques that allow you to really feel them and play them authentically. With this transfer of skill and a burning passion for instilling a strong base from which to learn off, students from all ages, abilities and aspirations will be able to find the stable base from which to learn off
Along with being a drummer, Stuart is also a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar and producer in a progressive math rock band. With a National Diploma in Music Technology and many years engineering and producing, Stuart has the knowledge of how to really fit into the music as an individual, something that is essential in learning musicianship.
Teaching mainly takes place in the ‘Multi-Cultural Music Village’ in Hockley, Birmingham (a 15 minute walk and 5 minute bus ride from the centre). However, visiting lessons are available in a location suited to you. Travel cost fee subject to distance, but will never be more the £5 per lesson.
