I've been teaching for over 10 years now and I take great pride in transferring my deep passion for drum kit to my students. I love playing my instrument and I try and translate this joy to my teaching. My experience of teaching in Infant, Primary and Secondary schools has demonstrated to me the importance make lessons fun and engaging while delivering information that is based on a solid foundation of years of hard work. I offer a bespoke tutoring service whereby the first lesson is focused on me finding out where you want to take your playing, what you want to achieve and what you have covered already. I then take this information and develop a syllabus that will help you to achieve your goals at the same time as ensuring I deliver the information that is crucial for on going development.

I take study and practice very seriously and have completed a degree (first class) in popular music performance (drum kit), i have also studied with the leading drum tutors in the country and practice religiously. For the last 3 years I have been studying the Moeller technique with technique guru Bob Armstrong, having taught the leading UK players for the last 30 years I feel privileged to be taught by him. My playing influences are varied, i studied with a leading UK tabla player because I was fascinated by the classical Indian approach to rhythm. I also studied with the UK's finest exponent of Latin drum kit playing and world recognized producer of instructional books, Dave Hassell, I found great joy in the grooves of Cuba, Brazil, Dominican etc.
