So you, a loved one or a friend has decided to take up the drums and develop the skill sets needed for what is a truly brilliant instrument and to reach even further as a drummer.

Well you have made a great choice in your instrument and you have come to the right place.

I have been teaching privately in my home studio for the last 13 years and have taught students of all abilities from the ages 5 to 75 helping them achieve goals they never though they could do.

Recently I have been hired by a well know music school to teach as one of their main drum kit tutors and Im currently signed to a major record label with the rock band Phoenix Calling who have videos been played on Kerrange TV and Scuzz. I have played with many of the top UK and European theatre shows and function bands. As well as this I have studied with some of the best teachers in the UK, Bob Armstrong and Craig Blundell to name a few. 

Learning to play any instrument is a highly rewarding, fulfilling and fun experience that is what makes been a musician so special.

You will learn a new skill, get out there performing music you love playing and meet loads of new and interesting people on your musical journey.

It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or a gigging drummer already. Each and every student is catered for individually with a strong focus on independence and co-ordination in a broad range of musical styles. We will delve into the world of reading, rhythmic phrasing as well as stick-control and dynamic-control.

If you're more interested in a graded structure we can do that too. I can take you through the Trinity or Trinity Rock and Pop Grades. Here we start off nice and easy with the very fundamentals of drumming and work our way upwards to making you enjoy your musical journey.

All of my lessons are held either at my home studio in St Neots Cambridgeshire where you can play on my DW Collectors Drum Kit and drink all the tea and coffee you want, I make fantastic cuppa tea by the way. Or if you already have a kit I can come directly to your home!
