Richmond has 30 years experience as a drummer and in this time has performed live 800+ times with a huge variety of bands and shows covering everything from early jazz of the 1920s to be-bop and beyond, through funk, soul, rhythm & blues, pop, rock, ska, latin and most things in between.
With a degree in Popular Music and Recording (B.A. Hons) and over 15 years experience teaching all ages and abilities, Richmond is able to tailor lessons to the individual student and help them become the best drummer they can be.

To date Richmond’s students have a 100% pass rate in grade exams, many with merits and distinctions.

Lessons take place at 'Richmond Avenue' Drum Studio, designed and built by Richmond to serve as a base for private teaching as well as a space for personal practise and demo recordings.
As a well respected professional musician, Richmond can be seen performing with a variety of artists, adding his own distinct mix of funk, soul, jazz and boogie and can be seen most regularly with one of the UKs best blues/rock trios, 'The Big Blue', a well established band who perform over 100 times a year.
